I've been looking for a desk on Craigslist for Cassidy and I came upon this gorgeous bedroom set. Don and I snuck it into her room on Christmas Eve while she hung out with Grandma. It made for a wonderful and BIG surprise on Christmas morning. She was speechless and we are thrilled that all her many little things now have a place.

I took my Friday group to a Christmas tree farm right before Christmas. It was beautiful and a lot of fun.

In October Leigh Ann, Mom and I had the great JOY of attending a Women of Faith event together in Sacramento.

Just a little silliness Cassidy-style......:) These are all the rage in first grade......little figures called squeakies..........don't leave home without 'em.......Cassidy doesn't.

I just love my church! We had church outside under this massive & beautiful oak tree today. I have so missed these oaks and didn't even know it until I came home here. It was wonderful to feel His Presence out in His Creation. I especially loved singing with my sister, mother and daughter. Life is so very good. Amen.

Thank you Aunties Bea, Helen and Marla.........Cassidy went on a shopping spree to Target with her birthday money and loaded up! It was fun and gold fishies too!!!

First day of first grade already! Cassidy has another wonderful teacher at Austin Creek.

Cassidy and her buddy John Paul learned how to swim this summer and they are swimming like little fish now!

We left Vegas needing to see some of God's glorious artwork so we high-tailed it to Sequoia National Park. An overlooked treasure for sure! This tree, the General, is the largest tree in mass in the world. Pretty awesome to behold.

We went to Vegas to see Auntie Marla for one night. Cassidy had to decorate her pups.......:)

Karen and Lou's wonderful Italian Market........Simply Italian. Every single morsel of food you put in your mouth is fabulous perfection! This girl can flat out cook.........bravisimo!!!

Disneyland.........Something is especially magical about seeing it through the eyes of a child.......and seeing it with family you love. These chicas had a WONDERFUL day!! 12 hours of riding as many rides as possible! Thank you Camryn and Jenna for spending a wonderful day with us that will never be forgotten!!!

Leigh Ann and I went to her 30th class reunion in Ukiah recently. It was in a gorgeous redwood grove/winery and we had a blast re-connecting with some great, old friends. FUN!

We went to Morton's Warm Springs for Don's employee picnic a few days ago. It was really wonderful. This is Don's friend and co-worker Tara and her daughter Aurora.

Cassidy was on such a high I don't think she even ate! (My dream comes true for her! I have never forgotten to eat.......;() Four hours later the party is over and she is sad and eating her cold pizza.........Birthday's just don't last long enough!!!
