Nothing is cooler than cuzzies when you are young..........We love you Kevin!

Just when I thought our vacation couldn't get better.........we took the long way home and visited my Uncle Mike and Aunt Sherry who I haven't seen since I was 15! It was really wonderful to spend time with them and meet their son Kevin.

Happy campers.............eating beans and drinking wine and melting s'mores..............tough job......eh????

We did my dad proud........and Yogi too........we picnicked EVERY day under the backdrop of God's amazing creation!

The travel channel shot...............yes.......LIFE IS GOOD!!!!

A little Catholic cathedral in the woods..........I always feel the presence of God in nature so this was a neat man-made reminder to thank Him for all the amazing things He created for us to enjoy!

Moose siting!!! They aren't easy to see and we were fortunate to see two of them!

Mighty Moe had a blast jumping down hundreds of steps!!! She constantly reminds us of what is so very awesome about being a child!

Just another gorgeous waterfall.........this one is Hidden Waterfall. We hiked 3 miles around beautiful Jenny Lake to picnic here. We took the boat back because carrying a 33lb. child gets a little heavy.........(I miss my hikin' buddy Jenny today and ALWAYS!!!!)

Grand Teton..............just magnificent!!! The wildflowers were at the height of their glory!

Ice cream at Old Faithful Inn.........camping has to have it's luxuries!!! John, Mark and Cat stayed one night here to break up the tent-monotony! It really is an impressive lodge! (Could Cassidy's smile get any bigger???? I think, maybe, she likes ice cream........??????)

Thar she blows!!! Old Faithful...........
These are the hot springs...........what I expected to see in Yellowstone. It truly is amazing, though.........I felt like I was on another planet.......one that was dying or beginning..........And it STINKS (dah......it's sulphur!) but the guide books don't mention that.........hahaha!
Typical Yellowstone........they call this a wildlife jam! When you see people pulling over you get over or else you get trampled or miss a siting of wildlife!!! This dude knows he is king......

Cowgirl Cat!!! Our new girlfriend takes her very first ride! She did great! We miss you honey and look forward to seeing you next year!

This is Cowboy-Bob.........a total gentleman who serenaded us at the cookout with all kinds of cowboy songs that reminded me of my dad and Ocey Lamb.

The food was even good at the cookout..........These hungry campers are waiting for their grub.......big ol' steaks and all the fixins........all you can eat! They even had yummy black bean burgers for a veggie cowgirl like me and Cassidy!
We went on this awesome Cowboy Cookout that John recommended. We were amazed that it was actually cool and NOT hokey! You can ride horses or covered wagons to the cookout. We took the wagon and the cowboys driving it were really funny! We were also fortunate to see a grizzly bear eating it's dinner en-route.
Too cute!
One tired little camper..............She loved to start the day by shouting out....."I see a buffalo!" (Even before we had left the campground! Funny one!!)
The elk are abundant as well.......

The buffalo/ bison/ tatonga are just everywhere and you quickly become a snob.........hahaha! You really feel how great it is to be an American when you are in Yellowstone! It's all that is magnificent about America and you just feel the patriotism and LOVE........"America the Beautiful" was constantly in my head.........It's quite the experience!!!
YELLOWSTONE rocks!!! This is lower falls......I had no idea there were so many waterfalls in Yellowstone! We had an amazing vacation seeing Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, Montana and Idaho. We met our buddy, John Molnar (who organinzed the trip) and had a really great time. We also made some new friends.........John's childhood friend, Mark, and his lovely daughter, Cat.........Good people who we are so happy to know! We're planning on joining them every summer for a camp-out and we will be starting a new blog to try to get more cool people to join in and see this gorgeous country of ours!!!

After dinner we cruised over to Port Angeles for the 4th festivities.........this was free for the kids and Cassidy wore herself out on it! There were vendors and music and fireworks..........it was just wonderful! There were kids everywhere and Cassidy had a blast running and dancing and sliding!

4th of July is SO yummy!

Happy 4th of July everyone! We're breaking in Lois and Bates' new home in an All-American way!!!

The front porch that the guys just finished..............all that is missing now is the porch swing.......

Lois' (almost) finished kitchen.........Don and Bill just built the kitchen nook to the left and it came out great! This kitchen has great Ikea organization going on and Lois is loving it!

Lois and Bates' house through the wildflowers............just gorgeous!

Cassidy in Nonnie's wildflower garden............Lois scattered these seeds last year and now has so many flowers she can let Cassidy pick to her heart's content!!! SO beautiful and cool!
