These little mini orchids were out in force along the trail as well as a few other beautiful early flowers.
Gotta love a hike in the woods!

Beautiful Lake Aldwell created by the Elwah River dam. We hiked along this gorgeous lake and admired it and lots of trees and flowers for our Mother's Day.

Why God Made Little Girls
God made the world with its towering trees,
Majestic mountains and restless seas,
Then paused and said, "It needs one more thing -
Someone to laugh and dance and sing,
To walk in the woods and gather flowers,
To commune with nature in quiet hours."
So God created little girls
With laughing eyes and bouncing curls,
With joyful hearts and infectious smiles,
Enchanting ways and feminine wiles,
And when He'd completed the task He'd begun,
He was pleased and proud of the job He'd done,
For the world, when seen through a little girl's eyes,
Greatly resembles Paradise.

Makes me look forward to Paradise! Lois found this poem that is SO Cassidy! She hiked 4 miles yesterday in her glittering shirt and I'm thinking that's pretty gnarly in a truely girlie way!!!
Happy Mother's Day everyone! We had a lovely day that started with praising God for all he has blessed us with.......especially this little nub Cassidy! Then Cassidy and I took Lois and Bates hiking and for a picnic up the Elwah River. It was a gorgeous and wonderful day and we plan to make a tradition of hiking on Mother's Day. You gotta do what you love on this special day!
It really brought back a lot of great memories seeing the ship. I'm so happy and blessed that I got to work on this ship and see the world. It's almost unreal to me now! Thank you God!
Gimme a "C"!!!!! A natural-born ham-bone!
Our good friend, Mike Farrell, was in Victoria, BC the other day as the Crystal Serenity was in town. We spent a gorgeous spring day hanging with him, catching up and having lunch. It was really fun and GREAT to see him!!!
Our buddy Eric and his son Mason come over to play with our little ham.....
Wheeeeee! Don and Cassidy hit the swings in Port Angeles.

Faja and Cassidy were fast-friends. Cassidy has the "look of love" on her face here. They had such a great time playing together non-stop. Faja really looked out for her too and was herding her at the beach. She was also especially funny at bath time.........Cassidy was splashing and Faja just stared intently and tried to catch the water. We were both cracking up at it........such fun!

This is the gorgeous view from Deb and Kurt's house! (I felt like I was on the ship! ) Their home is just beautiful and filled with wonderful organizational ideas and beautiful colors. The best part is, though, that they are wonderful hosts who make you feel so warmly welcomed in their home. It was a perfect setting for some much needed "friend/ girlfriend time"!!! We laughed and cooked and hung out and saw the sights for 10 wonderful days! Thank you so very much Deb and Kurt and Faja for the amazing time!

YEAH!!!!! Together at last!!! We really missed Auntie Marla!!!!

Auntie Marla is our favorite KID!!!!! Wheeeeeeee.......she's SO fun!!!!!!!!
