This is the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival that goes on for the entire month of April. It is absolutely amazing to see all these tulips growing so abundantly in the fields! I've never timed it right to see this in Holland, so I was so excited to see it here!
The next day the snow is gone and our snow-woman is getting really skinny!

A little freak snow storm in mid-April............Seems like the whole world is experiencing some extreme weather and Washington is no exception! Our bulbs were blooming and then came this storm! We made the most of it though and sledded in the slush and built a snow-woman amongst the dandelions!

Wallpaper sucks!!! And so does sheet rocking! We're so happy to see this ugly mess go, though! This is the downstairs basement apartment that we're re-doing. It's really looking good now and we are jamming to get our house on the market so that we can downsize and live in peace.

We're finally back online after unplugging for weeks to remodel our downstairs............and it's the Cassidy & Sierra Show in full swing! Look at Sierra's eyes........he's saying, "What you talkin' about Willis???" Ha ha ha!

Happy Spring!!!! We're SO excited to play in the sun and dig in the dirt!! Lois is a TRUE gardener.........we laugh all the time about losing hours outside digging and picking with our ARSES up in the air!!!! Cassidy always asks me if I like being dirty and when I say YES she wipes her hands on me! Hahahahaha!!!
Uncle Bobus teaches Cassidy how to paint/recycle an old kitchen cabinet. We're having a great time! It's a breath of fresh air having Bobus here! (Not to mention it really feels more than ever like my dad is here too!)
Happy Easter everyone! Cassidy strikes a pose with goodies Auntie Marla sent and beautiful tulips from Nonnie. (She loves this Marla! Thanx buddy and can't wait to color eggs with you again in the future!!!)
This is just funny because it shows how very much Bates wants to move in to his gorgeous new home! The house isn't done, but he's organized and in his closet........brief case and all!!!!
Bagels and coffee and bird/flower watching, anyone??? Lois and Bates are so excited to just veg-out in this room!!!

A view of the great room when you enter from the front door. Straight ahead is the awesome green room.....

Bates and Lois' home is getting the finishing touches! It is just GORGEOUS!! This is the amazing fireplace made of soap stone from Finland......the floor is hickory and the ceiling tongue and groove pine and the windows to the right are vintage recycle and really cool......they are being trimmed "Karen-style" with slate.......so pretty!

This was Auntie Jenny's last night...........she got to stare at Cassidy over great Italian food and red wine.........we shed a few tears in our vino over that sad truth!!! I hate living so far from my friends! Life feels so short and I miss you so much and look forward to a change coming...........

I miss you Auntie Jenny!!!.......I'm all minty fresh and ready for my good-night kiss! Where is your sweet Merlot breath???? You come back here!

My favorite picture from Auntie Jenny's visit!!! We girls headed to the Seattle Aquarium while the guys headed to the pub.......hahaha!!

We never get sick of the fresh abundance at Pike's Place Market in Seattle. We took the ferry across and hoofed it all day around the city for Jenny's last day. We still don't know how in the heck one week of vacation goes so fast yet one day of work pokes along so slow..............hmmmm........
The daffodils are in full bloom at Pike's Place..........

Jenny and Don scramble to pay the chocolate-fix lady...........Yummy! (Remember this booth, Marla????)

What is a trip to Pike's Market without a stop for sweets??? Of course Cassidy picks the one with all the sprinkles.

Jenny teaches Cassidy her "way cool" moves and was amazed to find that Cassidy does the same little mini clap that she has done for years! Too funny!

Cassidy's mantra,"I can do it ALL BY MYSELF!!!!!" (And she can..........)

Nature Girl strikes again!!!!!

Cassidy takes Auntie Jenny to her favorite waterfall.

A swing with a view............Cassidy loves to tell us to "push a BIG one!!!!!"
Girl stuff...........swappin' secrets in the great outdoors!

Girls at play............

Yeah!!! Aunie Jenny is here! Cassidy showed her her own private playground today and Jenny showed her how to make a peace sign!
It's getting there..........the siding is all up and the guys are working indoors now.......Yeehaw!

Bill and Bob did a really beautiful job on the guest bath shower..........Bill really complimented Bob on his cuts.

The great room and kitchen ceiling are all done in tongue & groove pine........it's really stunning!
Lois' awesome kitchen is getting the finishing touches...........Their house is just gorgeous!!!! We're so excited for them! And it is just so cool that their son and my brother are helping build it!
With Bob here we are finally able to finish the basement of our home. It is looking really great with the ceiling finished. These guys are working their butts off all week building Bates and Lois' house, then working on ours on the weekend. Bob re-wired all the electrical in this room. Great job hard working dudes!!!!

Cassidy and her Nonnie hiking in the woods by our house.

Sleeping angel..........Cassidy slept right through lunch this afternoon. I think she's dreaming about Auntie Jenny WHO IS COMING TO VISIT IN MARCH!!!!! We're so excited and we can't wait!!!!!

A soggy, winter walk on the beach in Port Townsend, WA...........we didn't get any real good walks in while mom was here but we did do my Yoga tape twice! For years I've been wanting to get into yoga and it is awesome! My spine feels better than it has felt in years! There truely is something to stretching out!!! I'm a believer!

Nothin' cuter than a little naked booten...........You can take the girl outta Vegas, but you can't take Vegas outta the girl! If left to dress herself, Cassidy chooses the butt-floss look.......Nonnies headband! Then she dances around the room and cracks us all up! Too cute!!!
Sassy and Daddy getting wacky! Does everyone want a little, sassy shirt like Cassidy's, or what???

Cassidy and I get all dolled up to go out for my birthday dinner.........we went out to a fancy restaurant and celebrated Lois' birthday too! Thanks for treating mom, that was really fun! Miss you!

At the job site........we took mom to see the beautiful new house!

Cassidy makes her first snow-Woman! Her name was FiFi and she was a Vegas showgirl with huge boobies to prove it!
We had a little snow storm while mom was here visiting.
Miss Cassidy gets her first hair cut......

Grandma comes to visit for MY birthday this time! She's coloring and chatting with Cassidy here. We had such a great time and can't wait to live in the same town!

Yeehaw!!! Uncle Bobus is in Washington now! He's working with Don and Bill building Bates and Lois' house. Too cool having him here.......we're having a great time!
In January we took a road trip to Santa Rosa, CA. to pick up Uncle Bobus. Here is Cassidy with her cuzzies.........Leigh Ann's children. It was wonderful to see the kids all playing and laughing together.......I wish we all lived in the same town!

Somebody put this little ham in commercials! Santa got a real kick out of her little animated self and we were overjoyed that she wasn't afraid of him! She's loving this candy thing too.........she gets it from Santa and from us when she goes in her potty seat. Life is good, eh??

Cassidy went to see Santa at a local nursery. She told him she wants CANDY and she wants to be a fairy. Look how fast ol' blue eyes got herself some candy???????

The Cassidy Isabel show continues........she loves to dance around the room, singing at the top of her lungs and making up songs...........the hands are in the air and she looks like she's worshiping God! It is truly hysterical to behold!

Cassidy munching "stacios" on Thanksgiving evening.

Our dear friend Chris joins us for Thanksgiving dinner and hams it up with some of Cassidy's jewels...........We are very thankful for our life and our friends and family. Just sharing a meal with people you love is such a simple yet blessed thing. Chris' wonderful girlfriend, Suzanne, joined us later as well. It was a low key but really nice evening.
